Thanks. It's been a gas.
Slowly, but surely...

Let's continue the conversation…

At the mall the other day, I saw a sign that read "Please excuse our dust - we are renovating to serve you better." I immediately thought of Pumptalk.

It has certainly been a busy stretch for our company, and as Jon pointed out in his 'good-bye' post, a time of tremendous change.  The merger of Suncor Energy and Petro-Canada has consumed us over the past few months.  However, through it all, we remained committed to keeping Pumptalk alive and well.

As you will see in the coming weeks, we will be shaking up the format of Pumptalk a bit.  We will be introducing new contributors and offering a fresh mix of perspective and opinions. We want to keep the discussion going and hope you do too.

Many of you have sent us your questions, comments and opinions while we have been on hiatus.  We haven't forgotten about you. Over the next several weeks, we will post and respond to many of these - stay tuned.

Before we move on, I must take a moment to recognize Jon Hamilton for his contribution to the discussion and for making Pumptalk what it is today, a place where real dialogue happens among real people.  In terms of getting an energy company to talk frankly re. gasoline prices, Jon was a maverick (way before John McCain and Sarah Palin tried to steal this tag).  Best of luck in your new role Jon - we'll take it from here.

Having recently 'taken the wheel' for the blog, I certainly feel responsible for keeping it moving forward.  Up until now, I have only been an observer in the blogosphere - I have a lot to learn so please be patient as we find our way through the final stages of the renovations (and hopefully with successful results, just like every program on HGTV).

Thanks to all of you for staying with us. I hope you like where we take Pumptalk.  Either way, I look forward to the discussion.

Jason
